Information Security Officer/ Network Administrator
Polixis is seeking a skilled and experienced Information Security Officer/ Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the security and stability of our infrastructure and network. The tasks include, but are not limited to, identifying and mitigating security threats, implementing security best practices, and working closely with other teams to ensure the reliability and availability of our systems.
Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and lead incident response from detection through resolution
Perform authorized penetration tests and adversary simulations across cloud and on-premise environments to identify realistic attack paths
Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust architecture, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools
Harden AWS/Azure environments, including IAM, encryption, and security posture management
Maintain SIEM and security tools for centralised access control and real-time log analysis
Manage CI/CD security flow (SAST, DAST, container scanning, and secrets detection)
Own the risk assessment process, translating technical findings into business-level risk and mitigation plans
Lead ISO 27001 and ISAE 3000 audit readiness, including evidence collection, control validation, and remediation tracking
Define and enforce internal security policies and serve as the primary security liaison to executive leadership
Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and maintain accurate security documentation
Stay current on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies
Develop, implement, and maintain network security policies and procedures
Configuring and supporting network equipment: Ensure seamless connectivity and troubleshoot network issues
Setting up and maintaining new workstations: Configure and deploy hardware and software for new employees
Installing and configuring peripheral devices: Set up printers, scanners, and other peripherals
Ensuring uninterrupted operation of office workstations and IT infrastructure: Monitor system performance and address any disruptions promptly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Network Security Administrator or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and network security technologies.
Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI-DSS.
Relevant certifications such as HTB CPTS, OSCP, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCNA Security are preferred.
Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows: Familiarity with Windows Server and desktop operating systems
Experience with Kubernetes. Docker and CI/CD tools
Confident knowledge of network technologies: Understand Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, VLAN, and group policies.
Strong skills in Windows, MacOS, and Linux: Comfortable working across different platforms
Good soft skills: Effective communication with internal customers and colleagues
Initiative, teamwork, ability, and desire to multitask: Adaptability and collaboration are essential.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Experience in DevOps will be a big plus.
